This is one of the main requests from the communities, who want to take advantage of the construction phase to take part in it.
We have therefore helped set up a company covering the north area of the Project, and each adult member of the different clans is a shareholder. We are helping to set this company up which will provide a workforce, civil engineering equipment, and probably catering and security services in the near future.
This pilot is helping us to prepare for the potential implementation of similar schemes in other communities, such as the residents along the Purari, and those close to the export pipelines.
