The Lae Chamber of Commerce & Industry, in collaboration with TotalEnergies EP PNG, the operator of the Papua LNG project, hosted a Early Works & Infrastructure Project Information Session on Thursday, 1st of June 2023 to provide updates on the Project.
The event was held at the Lae International Hotel from 7:00am to 9:00am and aimed to provide a comprehensive update on the progress of the Papua LNG project.
The Breakfast meeting served as an informative platform, offering insights into various aspects of the Project, including the Upstream Project Packages, Contracts & Procurement, Supplier Management Portal, the Enterprise Centre, and the PNG Wan workforce.

Attendees had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about the Project’s status which included future plans and developments.
A significant highlight of the session was the discussion on the first Upstream Project Package, which encompasses the Preparatory Work leading to Project Early Works. This segment provided attendees with a detailed understanding of the Project’s scope and the potential opportunities available within the supply chain.
The Papua LNG project team were present at the breakfast meeting. This interactive workshop format facilitated direct engagement and dialogue with the attendees. Interested companies registered to attend the event and made the most of the valuable networking and learning opportunities that were on offer.
