Enterprise Development Centre
The PNG Institute of Banking and Business Management Enterprise Development Centre (IBBM EDC) is a well-respected and long-standing organization in Papua New Guinea. It began providing training and capacity building to PNG businesses during the country’s first major gas project, PNG LNG. Building on this experience the EDC will support Papua LNG in the same endeavours.
In addition to these services, the EDC will operate a Supplier Management Portal (SMP), an online marketplace for PNG businesses to register their credentials as suppliers, for buyers throughout the Papua LNG supply chain, to research PNG suppliers and for buyers to post about opportunities for PNG suppliers to respond to. As well as servicing the needs of Papua LNG, the SMP has been developed to be used by other industries and projects within PNG, and for general PNG business-to-business usage. The SMP is an important economic development and legacy initiative within the relationship between Papua LNG and the IBBM EDC.

Community Representative Companies (CRCs) and Papua LNG project
In line with required PNG Government processes including the upcoming Development Forum and Ministerial Determinations, Papua LNG is progressively developing and formalizing its CRC relationships and capacity building. In order to be ready to support the construction phase after Papua LNG’s Final Investment Decision (FID), CRC capacity building and participation in pre-early works and early works has already begun.
